Neighborhood Updates with Phase One Reopening

New York City has officially entered Phase One of reopening and we’re starting to see changes across the district as stores reopen and extend business hours.

Stores reopened this week:

Time to cozy up with a new book—Shakespeare & Co. at 2020 Broadway has reopened for in-store pickup. They have also placed some tables and seating in their outdoor café, observing proper 6 feet social distancing guidelines. The store is open Monday-Friday, 11:00am-6:00pm; Saturday, 12:00pm-6:00pm; and is closed on Sunday. Contact them with any questions at (212) 738-0001.

Cooking so much at home has some of us eager to experiment with new kitchenware. Get excited that Williams Sonoma inside of The Shops at Columbus Circle has opened for curbside pick-up this week. Pick-up is available Monday-Saturday, 11:00am-5:00pm; and Sunday, 12:00pm-5:00pm. Call the store for more information on ordering: (212) 581-1146.

JackRabbit has also opened for curbside pick-up this week, located inside of The Shops at Columbus Circle. Contact the store for details at (212) 738-0001, open from 11:00am to 7:00pm, 7 days a week. Time to snag a new pair of sneakers for all of those upcoming summer walks!

Variazioni, a popup at 2005 Broadway, is now open for purchases and pick-up. The brand is known for accessories and classic wardrobe items, like a nice pair of jeans, so perhaps some safe social distancing, grab-and-go shopping could be a nice pick-me-up this week. The store is open Monday-Saturday, 11:00am-8:00pm; and Sunday, 11:00am-7:00pm.

First Republic Bank has also reopened inside of The Shops at Columbus Circle, Monday-Friday from 8:30am – 5:00pm. They are also offering special client hours from 9:00am-10:00am just for clients 60+ years old. Contact the location at (212) 331-0088.

For more dry cleaning and wash and fold options, visit Hawthorn Park Valet at 160 West 62nd Street, now open from 9:00am-2:00pm on Monday-Friday. Call ahead for details at (212) 586-2505.

Some stores with new business hours:

We’re also pleased to see that The Smith, Gap, Banana Republic, Il Violino, and Alice Tully Hall have taken boards down from their windows.

We will continue to update the neighborhood on changes and businesses as we learn about them. If you have any updates about your business in the district, please reach out to us with information. We are excited to support our community as we get through Phase One now and soon Phase Two.

Stay safe!
