Old John’s Diner Named One of the Best Breakfast Spots in Manhattan

Eater New York has included Old John’s Diner on their list of 23 Great Breakfast Options in Manhattan.

With classic breakfast diner items like waffles, pancakes, french toast, hash browns, and countless egg options, it’s no surprise Old John’s made the list. Old John’s Diner is an updated version of an Upper West Side staple that opened in 1951. Recently renovated in 2021, the diner has a timeless and elegant design that truly enhances the dining experience.

The diner is located at 148 West 67th Street at Amsterdam Ave and serves breakfast daily. Monday through Friday, breakfast is served from 7am to 11:30am, and Saturday through Sunday, breakfast is served from 7am to 9am. If you like to sleep in on the weekend, don’t worry. Old John’s serves brunch, which includes some of the options from the brekfast menu plus more, from 9am to 3pm. And if you want to give the diner a try for other meals, Old John’s is open for lunch Monday through Friday from 11:30am to 3pm and every day for dinner from 3pm to 10pm.
