The MTA’s Central Business District (CBD) Tolling Program will charge drivers a toll to enter Manhattan below 60th Street beginning April 2024. The program is meant to reduce traffic, creating safer streets, cleaner air, and better transit, while simultaneously providing much-needed revenue for critical transit projects. MTA’s Bridges and Tunnels Division shared a Construction Bulletin, which notes where construction will be taking place between September 1, 2023 and October 11, 2023. Central Park West will be the only street in the Lincoln Square BID affected at this time.

August 2023:
MTA Bridges and Tunnels released a Construction Bulletin detailing upcoming work on the Central Business District Tolling Program through September. In Lincoln Square, construction was scheduled from September 6 – 26, 2023, mostly during the daytime, at 4 Central Park West, including foundation excavation, rebar, placement, trenching (night), and pole installation (night).
July 2023:
The first congestion pricing scanners in the Lincoln Square BID were placed on Broadway between W 60th Street and W 61st Street.
