Prepare to immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, and flavors of India—right here in Lincoln Square!

The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) is bringing its first-ever NYC event, the NMACC India Weekend, to Lincoln Center’s campus from September 12-14. This three-day cultural showcase will celebrate the finest of Indian performing arts, fashion, music, wellness, and cuisine.

As part of the weekend,The Grand Indian Festival will transform Damrosch Park (Amsterdam Avenue and West 62nd Street) into a lively festival ground. It will feature a Bazaar, a unique shopping destination showcasing the finest in fashion, jewelry, accessories, and artisanal masters as well as paid food pop-ups, musical performances, yoga, and more. This event is designed to appeal to audiences of all ages, with colorful cultural displays perfect for families.

At the heart of the weekend is the U.S. premiere of ‘The Great Indian Musical: Civilization to Nation,’ a spectacular theatrical production at the David H. Koch Theater (20 Lincoln Center Plaza). This piece blends music, dance, drama, and other diverse art forms to pay tribute to India’s cultural journey through millennia. The limited run of five shows features a cast of over 100 performers, stunning costumes, and grand sets. The narration is in English, with subtitles displayed for dialogues in other Indian languages, making it accessible to all. While the musical is already sold out, you can still participate in the other events or check ticket resellers for availability.

The NMACC India Weekend is a ticketed event, offering passes for the morning (10:30am to 2:00pm) and/or evening (4:00pm to 10:30pm) sessions each day.

This cultural experience is a powerful reminder that the arts are a bridge—a shared language that connects us all. It’s a weekend you won’t want to miss!
