Rewards for Catching Illegal Dumping

The New York City Department of Sanitation (DSNY) is offering financial rewards for video evidence of illegal dumping of trash. Illegal dumping refers to dumping trash from a vehicle, so it is distinct from littering. If you witness someone illegally dumping trash, DSNY encourages you to take a video with a clear picture of the license plate, but not to approach or engage with the lawbreakers. More information on the reward programs and how to submit the evidence can be found here
