The Kaufman Music Center’s Dalcroze Summer Intensive is returning to the Lucy Moses School beginning Monday, August 9. Whether you’re a seasoned performer, an educator or an adult music student of any age, Dalcroze can help you feel and understand music in a new way!
The core subjects of the Dalcroze Summer Intensive are Eurhythmics, the study of rhythm; Solfège, ear training and musical literacy; and Improvisation, spontaneous musical expression at the piano. Pedagogy coursework is also available. Summer Intensive classes can lead towards Dalcroze certification at the Certificate and License levels.
Week 1 of the Dalcroze Summer Intensive runs from Monday, August 9 through Friday, August 13, and Week 2 from Monday, August 16 through Friday, August 20. Classes can be taken in-person or online. Tuition for an individual class is $145. Tuition for the full Week 1 and Week 2 program with all four classes is $1235.
