Holidays in Lincoln Square
Lincoln Square shines during the holiday season thanks to the BID’s Magical Lights holiday programming. Lincoln Square’s Magical Lights features sensory light and sound shows in our two parks, festive holiday caroling, and the WinteRamble – an illuminated neighborhood procession led by Processional Arts Workshop’s Frost Giant puppets. For 20 years, the Lincoln Square BID also hosted Winter’s Eve – the largest free holiday festival in the city.
Lincoln Square’s Summer Jazz Sensations
Lincoln Square BID’s free Summer Jazz Sensations bring extra fun to the neighborhood every Wednesday throughout the summer. Workers on their lunch break, locals and visiting tourists can enjoy jazz music from both established and up-and-coming artists in the beautiful Dante Park while dancing along and sampling delicious treats from neighborhood restaurants, including Wonder, Café Paradiso, PJ Clarke’s, and Le Botaniste. At intermission, the West Side Y leads the crowd in gentle stretch yoga. This unique cultural experience helps support dozens of local artists.

Three neighborhood information carts—one at Richard Tucker Park (Broadway between 65th and 66th), one at Dante Park (Broadway at 63rd Street), and the other by the Columbus Circle subway station—are stocked with BID-produced maps, guides, and informational material about Lincoln Square events and major New York City tourist destinations.
