Don’t miss Los Angeles-based harpist Mary Lattimore, an in-demand artist as a soundtrack composer/performer and as a session musician, well known for her work alongside a bevy of famous folk rock, indie, and electronic experimental musicians including Steve Gunn, Thurston Moore, and Julianna Barwick. The New Yorker calls Lattimore’s solo work “complex and expansive, songs that evoke seismic emotional shifts… not so much music to zone out to as music to self-actualize by.” Collaboration remained at the heart of her work, showing up in the form of joint creations with Superchunk’s Mac McCaughan, as well as in contributions from members of Slowdive and The Cure on her 2023 album Goodbye, Hotel Arkada. She will play music from that album and from across her already impressive career at her headlining Lincoln Center debut at the David Rubenstein Atrium.
